George W’s looking a bit puny these days.
Not in terms of health, but in terms of his numbers. In the latest CBS poll, Bush’s job approval rating has dropped to 34 percent, the lowest of his presidency. That’s getting him down to Nixonian levels! Bush’s numbers are now almost twice as low as Bill Clinton’s were when the house voted to impeach him.

George’s numbers are even sicklier when Americans are asked how they view him personally – only 29 percent register a favorable opinion. One big reason that he’s dropped so far down is the war. Two-thirds of Americans now say things are going badly in Iraq, and only 29 percent say Bush’s war is worth what it’s costing our country.
Well, say BushCheneyRumsfeld & Gang, the fickle, namby-pamby public is being misled by the pinko, America-hating media and traitorous Democrats like John Murphy. We don’t listen to them. We get our inspiration from the troops on the ground, the fighting folks who really know what’s going on over there – and let us assure you that these real Americans are gung-ho about their mission, fully committed to our stay-the-course war policy.
Horse[beep]! Let’s hear from the troops themselves. The first-ever poll of our soldiers in Iraq, taken by the highly-esteemed Zogby International polling firm, reveals that”yet again) the Bushites have been lying to us. A mere 23 percent of the soldiers say they back Bush’s policy. And while the Bushites insist that America must stay in Iraq “as long as necessary,” an overwhelming majority of our soldiers – 72 percent – say that all U.S. troops should be pulled out within a year! More than one in four of them”29 percent) are so fed up that they say the U.S. should exit Iraq immediately.
This is Jim Hightower saying… By the way, 52 percent of Americans want congress to consider impeaching Bush for secretly and illegally wiretapping American citizens. Now that’s a bad number.
